Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 5 November 2026
Scope of the Policy
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related digital services offered through newzoni. The services covered include access to professional training materials on video operation, live signal management, content distribution, camera work, and the creation of reliable high-quality feeds for news programmes and television broadcasting. The policy governs transactions made by customers located in the United Kingdom and explains the commercial terms under which contracts are formed, payments are processed, and refunds may be granted.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges
All prices displayed on the website are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. Additional charges may arise for optional extras such as extended access periods or supplementary materials. newzoni reserves the right to adjust prices at any time; however, the price at the moment of order confirmation remains binding for that transaction. Currency conversion fees applied by the customer’s payment provider are the customer’s responsibility.
Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security
Payments are accepted via major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital wallets. Each transaction undergoes real-time authorisation through secure payment gateways that comply with PCI DSS standards. By submitting payment details the customer authorises newzoni to charge the stated amount. Payment information is never stored on our servers; all sensitive data is handled exclusively by the chosen payment processor.
Order Confirmation and Contract Formation
A binding contract is formed only after newzoni issues an order confirmation email following successful payment. This confirmation summarises the purchased course, access credentials, and applicable terms. Until confirmation is received, no contract exists and any provisional reservation may be cancelled without liability.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods
Under UK consumer law, customers ordinarily enjoy a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which they may cancel without giving reason. For digital content, this right is lost once download or streaming access has begun, provided the customer has given prior express consent to immediate performance and acknowledged that the right will be lost.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items
Refunds are available within the cooling-off period only if no course content has been accessed. Once access credentials have been used or the course has commenced, refunds are not permitted except where required by law. Promotional or discounted courses, customised training packages, and any services already rendered are non-refundable. Technical issues caused by the customer’s own equipment or internet connection do not qualify for refunds.
Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund
To request a refund the customer must submit a written request to [email protected] within the applicable time limit. The request must include the order reference number, full name, contact telephone number, and a brief explanation. Requests sent via 020 7566 1060 or postal mail to 65 Lever Street, London, EC1V 3AR, United Kingdom are also accepted. Incomplete requests will be returned for additional information.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification
Upon receipt, newzoni will acknowledge the request within two working days and conduct an internal review. The customer will be notified of the decision by email within ten working days. If approved, refund processing begins immediately. If rejected, the customer receives a clear statement of reasons and information on how to appeal or pursue statutory remedies.
Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing typically takes five to ten working days after approval, although bank transfer refunds may require up to fifteen working days depending on the receiving institution. The customer is responsible for notifying newzoni of any change in payment details before processing commences.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers
Digital courses are delivered electronically and access is granted immediately upon payment confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least seven days before the renewal date. Promotional offers are subject to the same refund rules as standard purchases unless the offer explicitly states otherwise. No refunds are given for partially completed courses or unused subscription periods after the cooling-off window has closed.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud
In the event of a failed payment the order is placed on hold and the customer is notified. Duplicate charges detected by our systems are automatically refunded within seven working days. Any chargeback initiated by the customer will result in immediate suspension of access pending investigation. Suspected fraudulent activity may lead to account termination and referral to law enforcement authorities.
Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom
Nothing in this policy affects the customer’s statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. These rights cannot be excluded or limited by contract. Where a conflict arises between this policy and statutory entitlements, the statutory provisions prevail.
